- I invite you to visit the Teza tea plantation, because Burundi is famous for its fragrant tea! It is in Teze that tea grows best, because mountain valleys and thermal springs are located nearby. The tea plantations form beautiful landscapes, some of the most beautiful in the whole country. We have to find out how such fragrant tea is grown in Teze. The air here is fresh and clean, and the abundance of vegetation pleases the eye.
- After that we will go to the Kibira National Park, located nearby. Here we will find many streams and rivers that feed the whole country. In addition, Kibir receives the most rainfall, and the flora and fauna are extremely diverse. We will see many kinds of wild birds and animals.
- The next stop is the Nyakazu Fault, also called the German’s Gorge. In this place many German soldiers laid down their lives during the World War I, hence the name of the attraction. Nearby are the ruins of an old German fort. During the rainy season, a beautiful waterfall over 100 meters high forms here. The miombo forests form the basis of the local flora, and on the top of the mountain, where the climate is cooler, a beautiful afromontane forest grows.
